LiveWell with Nakheel, a community wellness initiative that Nakheel introduced in June 2022, is celebrating its one-year anniversary. The programme has given Nakheel community residents and the wider Dubai community, access to renowned healthcare experts who have shared their invaluable insights on how to make better decisions to improve well-being.
The interactive programme, developed by Nakheel Community Management and Integrative Lifestyle Coach Irina Sharma, not only sheds light on serious disorders caused by poor lifestyle choices, but also promotes discussion that leads to a more lasting sense of community health.
As it turns one, LiveWell with Nakheel is dedicating the month of June to celebrating International Men's Health Awareness. Experts will share knowledge, experiences, and best practices in relation to men's health. The session will cover topics like diet, exercise, lifestyle illnesses and their causes, and integrative preventative methods.
Francis Giani, Chief Community Officer at Nakheel, said: "Over the last year, LiveWell with Nakheel has developed into a larger community event and covered subjects important to people's welfare. We take pride in having developed a forum for discussion and learning about the resources accessible to our community. We'll keep focusing on issues vital to everyone's general welfare and well-being.”
LiveWell with Nakheel Co-curator and Integrative Lifestyle Coach Irina Sharma said: “We are proud of the success we’ve had over the past year and look forward to connecting people and communities to continue to improve their health and well-being while creating and sharing opportunities. This month we will celebrate and shine a light on the importance of health and well-being for boys and men.”
The upcoming panel session will focus on how men can improve their health, well-being and emotional resilience, based on insights from expert panel members.
A sense of community is important and has been directly linked to health where it has shown to lower the rates of hypertension, obesity, diabetes, and other lifestyle diseases. This community well-being initiative is a pillar for healthy behaviours and lifestyle that is conducive to a long and healthy life.
Nakheel is committed to supporting a society that embraces happiness, a positive lifestyle, and a high quality of life. As such, LiveWell with Nakheel begins from where we live, bringing together communities.
