Continuing its commitment to foster wellness across its communities, Nakheel, the world leading master developer, is hosting a talk on hormonal health as part of its LiveWell with Nakheel event series. The latest session will be held at the Crystal Dome at Nakheel Mall on 18 March.
LiveWell’s upcoming session will feature Dr Sofie Skogen, an integrative General Practitioner, Ann Marie, Editorial Director of Live Healthy and Founder of Hotflash Inc. and Irina Sharma, Co-curator of LiveWell with Nakheel and Integrative Health Coach, who will discuss the role and importance of hormones and how they influence human health and behaviour.
Hormones, which affect both men and women, control multiple aspects of our wellbeing, including thirst, appetite, sleep, mood as well as emotions. The session will cover a range of topics related to hormonal health and guests will have a chance to ask questions and learn about the critical role hormones play in overall health and wellness.
Francis Giani, Chief Community Management Officer of Nakheel, said: "Adopting healthier habits is key to an improved lifestyle and we believe it’s equally imperative to have access to evidence-based knowledge to achieve this goal. We are committed to continue to focus on important areas of health, in order to foster a dialogue that contributes towards improved community health and wellbeing.”
Irina Sharma said: “This is an important topic to raise awareness on. As part of the discussions, we will be addressing the Hormone Intelligence Plan covering the causes which impact both male and female hormonal health. By looking at the six core pillars—nutrition, inflammation, environmental factors, gut health, sleep, and stress—we can look at what lifestyle and health choices we can make in order to improve our hormonal health.”
The upcoming event follows the success of the inaugural LiveWell with Nakheel Wellness Festival which highlighted five wellbeing pillars; Balance, Nourish, Move, Relax and Evolve.
Join us on Saturday 18 March at the Crystal Dome, Nakheel Mall.
Timings: 9 am to 11:30am.
