Nakheel, the world-leading master developer, is sponsoring the UAE Tour 2023, the only UCI World Tour cycling race in the Middle East, for the fifth consecutive year. The company is sponsoring the White Jersey which will be awarded to the best young rider, of each of the routes, under the age of 25. The fifth edition of UAE Tour will take place from 20 to 26 February featuring over 1028 kilometres of racing across seven stages.
These stages comprise two mountain stages, four sprint stages and a high-speed team time trial. The fourth stage of the competition, which begins at 12:30pm on 23 February, will take riders along a scenic 174-kilometre route that will provide stunning views of Palm Jumeriah and Jumeirah Islands.
Nakheel’s sponsorship of the event aligns with the company’s commitment to build happiness and prosperity for citizens, residents and visitors by promoting health, fitness and wellbeing, and is in line with the White Jersey’s remit of recognising the next generation of cyclists. This follows Nakheel hosting the Roy Nasr Triathlon and the UAE Cycling Federation’s Dubai Islands Open Challenge race on Dubai Islands earlier this year.
