Master developer Nakheel has received an Excellence in GIS Implementation accolade at the 2020 EGI Awards for a new enterprise software application that simplifies the customer experience, enhances efficiency and helps the environment.
The IT programme, which won the Enterprise Real Estate GIS category of the awards, covers 71 services under one platform for online applications, processing and payment, reducing customer transaction times by up to 80 per cent for some services. Services covered include home extension approvals, site access applications and NoC processing.
The Nakheel Community and Planning Management (NCPM) Enterprise System was developed by a dedicated task force of management and staff from the company’s Information Technology, Community Management and Planning Approval divisions who worked with consultants to deliver the software over 12 months.
Ahmed Ebrahim AlAhmad, Chief Information Officer at Nakheel, said: “NCPM is tailored to meet the ever-growing needs of our clients, and our business goals as a master developer. The software has massively reduced transaction times and is helping the environment, as customers no longer need to visit our offices for many services. We are extremely proud to receive the EGI award, which is a true testament to the team who worked together to see the project through from concept to reality.”
The EGI (Excellence in GIS Implementation) Award promotes innovation and experimentation in GIS implementation. Introduced in 2007, the prestigious award recognises organisations which use GIS in unique and innovative ways in the UAE and GCC.
